Went to skate the dollar store loading dock today, a classic spot in Claymont, DE, only to be greeted with another spot that bit the dust. A rail was built all around it. Rest in Peace good skate spot!

This spot is at the end of the Rehoboth boardwalk near the Lewes Hotel. The bank is right off of a main road, that luckily, doesn’t get a ton of traffic. Head down to the beach during off season, and you can skate this spot to your heart’s content.

If your ever in the Christiana area, be sure to stop by the ditches right off the highway near the hospital. Fun spot, but security won’t let you stay forever. Just be quick!

One of my favorite skate spots is the Deli. It has a sweet handrail which I never did but always dream of doing. Maybe you can do it though. It also has has a big 6 set and a monster grass gap. Send the footy to SkateDE@gmail.com when you do.
Here’s the address: Carpenter Station Plaza, 2662 Carpenter Station Road, Claymont, DE 19703

Townsend, DE is home to a cool little skate park.
Turn right into the park at the Intersection of Edgar Road & Helen Rd. There is no cost, no fence, no helmets, no hours…the only restriction- no lights

Ready to set it up and skate with the big boys? Now’s your chance: can you land the booth’s corner 10? The Farmer’s market is only open on the weekends, which means this spot is almost always open for business.
I heard through the grapevine that the new location of ECX skate shop has a half pipe in the store you can skate.
Me & my boy Jon rode out there today to find out if this was legit…it is. Here’s the deal: you pay a one time fee of $5 to register/sign a waiver (must be over 18 or have a parent to co-sign). Then it’s $2 for to skate it for the whole day.
It’s a pretty big pipe, about 6 ft. It has an extension on each wall which is pretty cool. The owner is going to be having a competition on it this winter. He’s also going to have a flat land spot outside the pipe so we can play SKATE. It’s open anytime the store’s open…the perfect indoor place to skate when it’s raining. They even have lounge chairs and couches to chill out on.

November. The time of year to rake leaves, celebrate thanksgiving, chill out near a bond fire and my personal favorite – skate. Not to mention it’s the perfect time to practice your park skills since skate parks tend to be less crowded at this chilly time of the year. In lieu of this, SkateDE.com proudly presents 3 new skate parks!
